The Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law is one of the world’s premier institutions for fundamental comparative research in private law and private international law. By analysing the legal systems of the world and comparing them with one another, we identify and develop solutions for the law of tomorrow. The law library at our Institute is Europe’s largest specialized library, each year attracting around 1,000 visitors from more than fifty countries to do research in Hamburg. Internationality and intellectual curiosity are hallmarks of the day-to-day activities of the 155 members of our Institute’s research and support staff.
As a postdoctoral researcher or Habilitand*in under Professor Dr. Fleischer, you will conduct research in the fields of commercial law, corporate law, and capital markets. Whether with your immediate colleagues or in wider circles, you will be engaging with other emerging scholars on topics related to your research and will work directly under the supervision of Professor Dr Fleischer.
